American Legion Post #14
To all Post 14 Members,
Happy New Year to all of you and your families. Our next meeting will be Thur. 1/9 at 6 pm upstairs in the Legion Hall.
We had a successful bell ringing to assist the Salvation Army in their season fundraiser and a big Thank You to all that participated.
Also. Thanks to all that helped with Hope and the Holidays as we provided toys, clothes and food to over 1,400 children, and several hundred families that are less fortunate and made it possible for them to have a nice Christmas.
Our membership is 91% so we have a short amount to get us over 100%. Another thank you all for making it happen as it takes a complete team to win the game. If any of you have any suggestions or info you want us to share with the Post please contact us and we will provide you with the info. These meetings are for all of us to share beneficial correspondence for Veterans, their families and our members.
This Sat. 1/4 at 7 pm at the Commons (Love Ln. and Baxter, next to the YMCA) is a family fundraiser for Deputy Allmendinger who was killed in the line of duty. This is a nice young family and they could really use some assistance. Bingo starts up again on Wed. 1/8 from 7 to 9 pm in the Legion and 100% of the proceeds goes to our Veterans, their families, our Youth and the Community. Come on out it is a lot of fun for a good cause.
We gave 3 High school students some scholarship money for their participation in our annual Oratory Contest held Tue. 12/17 at Bozeman High's Library. The winner will participate in the District 7 Oratory Contest in late Feb. in Big Sky. Any one wanting to help please contact us.
Hope to see you at the meeting.
