Montana Vietnam Veterans Honor Flight
In 1982, a promise was made to never forget those who served and sacrificed in the Vietnam War. This year marks 40 years since that promise was made.
On November 10, 2022, 11 Montana Vietnam veterans boarded an Honor Flight from Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport to Washington D.C. to participate in the 40th Anniversary of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial that took place on Veterans Day. This flight includef Vietnam veterans from Billings, Bozeman, Glendive, and Helena.
On November 11th, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund hosted a special Veterans Day Observance at The Wall. In addition to celebrating the service of all our veterans, this year marks the 40th anniversary of the dedication of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial stands as a symbol of America’s honor and recognition of the men and women who served and sacrificed their lives in the Vietnam War.
Inscribed on the black granite walls are the names of more than 58,000 servicemen and women who gave their lives or remain missing.
The Memorial is dedicated to honor the courage, sacrifice and devotion to duty and country of all who answered the call to serve during one of the most divisive wars in U.S. history.
